Document Description
To restore the highway embankment along the southbound lane or Route 254 at the above indicated location in Humboldt County approximately 0.25 miles north of Redcrest. The scope of work includes placing approximately 140 cubic yards (cy) of 1/4 ton rock slope protection (RSP) and imported rocky material at the toe of an eroded highway embankment adjacent to Chadd Creek. In coordination with State Parks several mitigation measures to minimize harm have been incorporated into the project including placement of bark chips for erosion control and revegetation with local willow cuttings. No additional permanent right of way is required. The project will not impact archaeological or sensitive biological resources.
