Document Description
This is a permit renewal. The primary hazardous waste operation at the Detrex facility consists of the storage of hazardous wastes in containers in two storage areas (Storage Container Area #1-7,920 gallon capacity and Storage Container Area #2-16,500 gallon capacity) prior to the shipment of the wastes off-site to a Detrex solvent reclamation (recycling) facility or to another permitted treatment, storage or disposal facility. The facility will not store more than 16,5000 gallons of waste at any time. The new 16,500 gallon container storage limit for hazardous waste is greater than the previous permit limit for storage of hazardous waste inside the warehouse, but less than the total storage limit of hazardous waste for the facility, which included two (2) 600 gallon storage tanks inside the warehouse and 10,000 gallons in storage tanks outside the warehouse. The tanks are inactive and are being deleted
