Document Description
Minor Master Plan Revision to site future academic replacement building on the site of existing Initial Buildings 1-9 and 12. The site is within the existing developed campus area of man-made intense urban use, including landscape and hardscape improvements. No natural biological resources will be effected, nor will any cultural or historical resources be effected by the demolition of existing structures. Other than existing building pad areas, the remainder of the site is turf/lawn and paved walkways.

It is exempt because in accordance with State and University CEQA guidelines, this project is categorically exempt under Article 19, Section 15300, Class 2 (replacement of existing structures to provide earthquake resistant structures), Class 14 (minor additions that do not increase student capacity), and Class 32 (in-fill development). The project provides for the demolition of existing buildings which do not meet current seismic codes and replacement siting of a future building that will meet all life-safety code requirements.
