Document Description
Project consists of dredging the Varner Harbor channel at Salton Sea SRA, which has silted up due to wind-driven currents and is currently only 2 feet deep in places. Work will be completed by suction dredge in an area approximately 100 feet by 400 feet to a minimum depth of 10 feet. An estimated maximum of less than 75,000 cubic yards will be displaced. Discharge from the dredging will be placed upon the barnacle bar on the north side of the channel. No potential for significant impacts to the environment is anticipated.
