A Draft Central Petaluma Specific Plan has been prepared to address the orderly growth of Central Petaluma. The Plan addresses several issues relevant to the area, including the compatible mix of various uses, the preservation of existing industrial uses, public improvements to the river's shoreline, the upgrading of aging infrastructure, the extension and reconfiguration of roads, including a new bridge over the River, and the creation of new pedestrian and open spaces.
