LLNL is a federal facility owner by the U.S. Department of Energy and, therefore, city or county organizations have no planning jurisdiction at the site. Onsite land uses include offices, laboratory buildings, support facilities, roadways, parking areas, and landscaping. The Alameda County General Plan land use designations for the site are "industrial," and "industrial or agricultural," and the Livermore Community Plan land use designation is "Low Intensity Industrial." The site is zoned "Industrial Park" by Alameda County and "light industrial" by the City of Livermore.
Document Description
The project consists of maintenance activities to improve flood control within portions of the Arroyo Las Positas that border the LLNL site. These include removing some vegetation, recontouring and repairing the channel banks, and constructing earthen berms along selected portions of the arroyo.
