Document Description
It is proposed to replace an existing water transmission main between the Sawmill Storage Tank and Big Trees No.1 Storage Tank. The proposed new alignment would follow existing logging roads south of the existing pipeline and north of State Highway 4. Although this route is slightly longer than the existing alignment, it has several advantages including reduced elevation variations and water pressures, improved winter operation and maintenance accessibility, no creek crossings and relatively easy trench excavation because there appears to be less rock outcroppings than other potential aligments.
