Present Land Use
The present land use was established in 1941 as a private water system. The existing domestic water system consists of 54 service connections for the subdivision. Zoning is Highway 97 frontage: C-U (Neighborhood Commercial); remainder of project: R-R-B-1 (Rural Residential, 1 acre min. parcel). General Plan designations include Wildfire Hazard Area, High Suitability Woodland Productivity Area (site class I and II), and Severe Pressure Limitation Soils (for building foundations).
Document Description
The petitioners propose the formation of a County Water District to serve the Carrick Addition Subdivision. The system would replace the existing private water system, which was constructed in 1941 and is aging and does not meet health standards. The proposed District will provide domestic water service, including fire prevention (flow and storage) for the 78 parcels, including 63 existing residences within the subdivision. The project would include an off-site well with storage tank, booster pumps, a hydro-pneumatic tank, a chlorine injection system and a loop distribution system to provide water to individual lots.
