Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2016-0244-R5, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Los Angeles County Flood Control District.
Project is proposed to conduct annual maintenance to remove the lower limbs from willow trees from a portion of Medea Creek known as "SBC Reach 33", and remove all non-native plant species, trash, and debris anywhere they occur within SBC Reach 33. The entire SBC Reach 33 is 946 linear feet and 1.80 acres (ac) in area consisting of 0.91 ac developed, 0.51 ac willow riparian woodland, 0.18 ac freshwater marsh, 0.14 ac open water, 0.05 ac annual grassland, and 0.01 ac. coyote bush scrub. Willows will only be trimmed to a maximum of 7 feet from the ground within a maximum of 0.45 acre area (617 linear feet by 30 feet wide) consisting of willow riparian woodland.
