Document Description
The project involves the adoption of a Kern County ordinance regulating the land application of Class A and Class B biosolids for a period of three years on sites currently holding permits issued by the Kern County Environmental Health Services Department, under the authority of an interim urgency ordinance (Ordinance G-6528). At the conclusion of three years, Class A and Class B biosolids would be banned from further land application in the unincorporated areas of Kern County. The proposed ordinance would not regulate the land application of exceptional quality biosolids or compost.
