Document Description
The subject proposal is a request to grade portions of a 214 - acre site, in order to remove approximately 828,000 cubic yards of soil for use as fill on the Lowe's Companies Western Regional Distribution Center project site (located south of 7th Street, east of Redlands Avenue, north of Ellis Avenue, and west of Murrieta Road). The borrow site areas are located on the east side of the I-215 freeway on both sides of the San Jacinto River. The borrow site areas will be excavated a depth of approximately four feet in depth. The subject grading operation also includes the construction of a 30-foot wide, temporary haul road from the grading site, under Interstate 215, and the distribution center site. Two 16 foot by 80 foot railroad cars shall temporarily bridge the existing Perris Valley Storm Drain and the San Jacinto River for use as crossings. It is anticipated that the construction project will last approximately three months and once the earth movement is complete, the haul road areas within the Perris Valley Storm Drain/San Jacinto River and the CALTRANS right-of-way, will be restored to their pre-existing condition.
