Document Description
The project consists of vegetation restoration, installation of erosion control measures, and the construction and extension of existing shaded fuel breaks. The project is intended to address the extreme fuel loading which has developed within the project area as a rresult of nearly a century of fire exclusion. The buildup of excessive fuel has developed a threat of catastrophic wildfires. Wildfires in these areas may cause damage to water yield, quality and quantity, and may threaten the lives of residents, properties, and wildlife.
