City of Avenal is proposing to establish a multi-use recreational park on a 106 acre parcel that was the site of the city's former wastewater treatment plant. The proposed sports complex is designed to include a number of uses including football, soccer and baseball fields, tennis and volleyball courts, a sand drag, bicycle racing track, recreation center and gym, nature trail, parking and picnic areas.
