The U.S. Navy selected excavation and transportation of approximately 3,240 cubic yards of contaminated soils from the site for disposal at an appropriate U.S. EPA certified landfill facility. This remedial alternative was selected in the "Action Memorandum Non-Time-Critical Removal Action" dated May, 1999.
