Document Description
California Department of Transportation (CALTRANS) proposes to: 1) remove and dispose of approximately 1400 cubic meters of petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted soils that were the result of leaking underground fuel tanks and 2) remediate soils in-place that have a lesser degree of contamination. All underground tanks at the yard were removed several years ago, but adjacent soils remain impacted and have become a contamination source for groundwater in the immediate area. The proposed project will eliminate or mitigate these soils as a source of contamination.
