The goals of the proposed project focus on 1) improving aquatic habitat and water quality through decreasing sediment and nutrient loads and water temperature; and 2) decreasing erosion through development of more stable channel banks and channel courses. A riparian management zone would be established approximately 100 feet on both sides of the low flow channel, or as wide as possible given land use.
