Document Description
The proposed project involves the adoption and implementation of a Redevelopment Plan Amendment for Redevelopment Project Area No. 1-1986, Amendment No. 2, El Cerrito and Temescal Canyon Sub-Area, encompassing an estimated 1,450 acres. The Plan is intended to assist the County of Riverside in achieving various goals in the Project Area. These goals include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Implementing the goals, policies, and strategies identified in the Comprehensive General Plan.
* Providing the various public improvements identified in the Comprehensive General Plan.
* Developing housing programs to meet the needs of very-low, low and moderate-income residents in the Project Area.
* Providing for a general program of redevelopment incentives that will serve to eliminate blight and strengthen the commercial and industrial base in the Project Area, and thereby creating lasting improvements to the community's tax and employment bases.
