Document Description
The applicant is proposing phased development, over a period of up to ten years, of a 32,706 square foot winery and 3,850 square foot tasting room. The winery building would be constructed in the first phase; the tasting room and restaurant would be constructed in the second phase. The project also includes up to 24 temporary events. The project is located on the south side of Orcutt Road, approximately 2,500 feet west of Tiffany Ranch Road, south of the City of San Luis Obispo. The project has been substantially revised as a result of the public review process. The entire project has been moved to the west/north, off of a prominent knoll, to a lower location that takes advantage of topographic screening between the winery site and the nearest residences. The relocation of the project also resulted in a changed location of the access driveway, such that a new bridge will need to be constructed over a branch of Pismo Creek.
