Since the certification of the previously approved Site Development Permit (SDP) and FEIR, the project design has been modified to the extent that it requires an amended SDP. The design modifications generally include additional construction staging and access areas, refinement to provide greater connectivity with the surrounding area and improved operational performance of the roadway, accommodations for required vehicle lane configuration and widths, reconfiguration of driveway access to the adjacent Surf Cup Sports Park property, accommodation for proper grading and drainage design, reduction of impact area from rock-slope protection and turf reinforcement mat installation, and reduction of impacts to the adjacent Fairbanks Golf Course.
