The NCWD Pinetree service area consists of approximately 4,800 acres encompassing the northeast portion of the City of Santa Clarita and immediately surrounding Santa Clarita Valley area of unincorporated Los Angeles County.
The service area is within the City of Santa Clarita and Los Angeles County Santa Clarita Valley plan area. Land use and zoning within the service are is varied and includes hillside management, non-urban (0.5 du/ac), open space areas, urban (3.4-15 du/ac) commercial and industrial.
Document Description
The project consists of adoption of a master plan for future improvements within the NCWD Pinetree system and establishment of a related fee mechanism to fund water storage and distribution facilities necessary to serve ultimate development in the Pinetree service area. The actions immediately before NCWD are administrative. Facilities are typically expected to be constructed concurrent with future development and may be addressed in environmental documents to be prepared by the applicable land use authority. Should NCWD project construction precede area development, NCWD will be required to provide environmental documentation and to obtain any necessary regulatory permits.
