Document Description
The District proposes to construct a potable water treatment plant to augment water supplies for its customers by treating water with high fluoride content so that it can be used for domestic and municipal water supply. Wells located on the project site will deliver approximately 3,000,000 gallons of water per day to the treatment plant which will provide 2,900,000 gallons of treated water per day for delivery to District customers. Additional treatment will remove remaining contaminants concentrated in the residual water which will either be injected or used for irrigation. A small volume of non-hazardous waste is forecast to be generated from the treatment operations and it will be disposed of at a properly licensed disposal facility.
