Document Description
The proposed levee repair site is located approximately 6 miles west of Manteca on the right bank of the San Joaquin River between levee mile 13.57 and 13.68. It was damaged during the "El Nino" floods in winter and spring of 1998 by erosion along the toe and embankment of hte waterside levee slope for 600 feet . The proposed repairs will replace rock revetment along the levee toe and restore the levee embankment with fill material. Willow and alder pole cuttings will be replanted along the water edge and the backfilled embankment will be reseeded with herbaceous plants.
