The proposed action analyzed by this Draft EIR is the implementation of the Draft 2030 General Plan. The Draft 2030 General Plan is an update of the Danville 2010 General Plan, adopted in 1999. The Draft 2030 General Plan would be the principal policy document to guide future conservation and development in Danville. The Draft 2030 General Plan not only provides concepts for long-term planning through 2030, it also provides overall direction to the day-to-day actions of Danville, its elected officials, and staff. The Draft 2030 General Plan is described in detail in Chapter 3 of the Draft EIR. The proposed Draft 2030 General Plan includes goals, policies, and implementation measures that are intended to achieve the community's vision for Danville. The goals, policies, and implementation measures are to be used by Danville to guide everyday decision-making and to ensure progress toward the attainment of the goals outlined in the plan.
