Document Description
The Town of Danville has prepared an update to its existing General Plan including:
* Updating baseline conditions to 2010.
* Extending the planning horizon of the General Plan to 2030.
* Adding new policies about sustainability, greenhouse gas reduction, priority development areas, emergency preparedness, and other topics.
* Updating "Action" measures to indicate tasks to be completed after Plan adoption.
*New land use designations on key sites which will enable the Town to meet its fair share of the Bay Area's housing needs, as defined by ABAG. These sites were previously identified in the adopted Housing Element in 2009. Some of these sites will be zoned following Plan adoption to reflect their new General Plan designations.
* Expansion of the Planning Area to include additional areas east of Danville and on the north side of Camino Tassajara. No substantive General Plan designation changes are envisioned in this area.
