The California Department of Corrections proposes to construct a new 20-bed Correctional Treatment Center (CTC) within the grounds of the California Institution for Women (CIW) in Corona. The 30,646 square foot facility would be a 24-hour operation to provide licensed health care within the grounds of the institution. The building would be constructed within the secure perimeter in an open area in the northwest quadrant of the institution between the existing Wilson cellblock and the Support Care Unit. The building would be a one-story, slab-on-grade, concrete structure with paving for access to the building. Building functions would include the following: Administration, Clinic, Clinic Hoding Area (3 day-use cells), Nursing (21 cells).
