The purpose of the project is to: 1. Reconstruct and widen South Santa Fe Avenue on a new centerline, from a two-lane road to a four-lane major road (including bicycle lanes and Americand With Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant sidewalks); 2. Construct approximately 0.3 mile of Sycamore Avenue between its existing build-out terminus at the Vista City limit; 3. Improvements to the railroad crossing near the northern project limits would be installed as part of this project; 4. Construct drainage improvement to address flood risks.
