Document Description
The project is participation in a 50-year habitat conservation plan that proactively protects the storage, release and diversion of Colorado River water from interruptions due to endangered species issues. The program provides conservation measures for 26 listed or potentially listed species. The progress will provide the following: a permit for incidental take resulting from existing and future changes in points of diversion for up to 277,700 acre feet of Colorado River water per year, incidental take in the event that certain species are listed as endangered or threatened in the future, and a cost cap on future endangered species compliance activities on the Colorado River.
