Document Description
The project covered by this permit includes four categories of activities: 1) ongoing flow-related activities; 2) future flow-related activities; 3) non-flow-related activities; and 4) hydroelectric power activities. All of the Covered Activities would be implemented within the project area and take place for up to 50 years. The project will result in impacts to Southwestern willow flycatcher (Empidonax traillii extimus), Western yellow-billed cuckoo (Coccyzus americanus occidentalis), Elf owl (Micrathene whitneyi), Gilded flicker (Colaptes chrysoides), Gila woodpecker (Melanerpes uropygialis), Vermilion flycatcher (Pyrocephalus rubinus), Arizona Bell's vireo (Vireo bellii arizonae), Sonoran yellow warbler (Dendroica petechia sonorana), Summer tanager (Piranga rubra), Western red bat (Lasiurus blossevillii), Western yellow bat (Lasiurus xanthinus), Yuma clapper rail (Rallus longirostris), California black rail (Laterrallus jamaicensis coturniculus), Western least bitten (lxobrychus exilis hesperis), Colorado River cotton rat (Sigmodon arizonae plenus), bonytail (Gila elegans), razorback sucker (Xyrauchen texanus), and Flannelmouth sucker (Catostomus latipinnis). Some of these species are protected under the California Endangered Species Act, requiring issuance of a California Incidental Take Permit.
