Document Description
The east levee of Cherokee Canal in Butte County was damaged during the "El Nino" floods in the winter and spring of 1998. Due to a prolonged period of inundation, the east levee between milepoints 22 to 23 slumped downward on the landside slope. This will be repaired by rebuilding the levee with compacted earth fill to restore the preflood configuration and reseeding with an herbaceous erosion control seed mixture. There will be no significant adverse environmental impacts associated with this project.
