Document Description
The purpose for the project is to decrease flooding of the Lake Merritt Outfall Channel by improving flows through existing trash racks and to repair existing wingwalls under the 7th Street pump station. Four trash racks on each side of the pump station under 7th Street will be removed and replaced with two trash racks, 8 feet upstream and downstrean of the pump station. Erosion at the concrete wingwalls will be repaired, and the slope in front of the wingwalls will be restored. The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-0547-99 pursuant to the Fish and Game Code to the project operator, George Sukkar.
