The project is the former 101 Drive-In Theater which was constructed and opened in 1948. The project site is within the Thille Community as identified within the City's Comprehensive Plan, and is designated PC (Planned Commercial) in the Land Use Element. The majority of the project site is zoned C-2 (General Commercial), with a small sliver of land in the northeastern corner of the site zoned R-1-1AC (Single Family Residential).
Document Description
The Project would include the demolition of the facilities associated with the drive-in theaters and the construction of a retail commercial center consisting of approximately 276,520 square feet of new development. Approximately 1,343 off-street surface-level parking spaces would be provided. It should be noted that this Project was formerly know as the Pacific Theatres Ventura Commercial Development Project.
