Document Description
In the Second Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (SSEIR) to Final Environmental Impact Report No. 575 (FEIR), Orange County Waste and Recycling (OWCR) is proposing to construct a new landfill on the Prima Deshecha property in San Juan Capistrano. The property is divided into five zones: An existing landfill in Zone 1, the proposed new landfill in Zone 4, and designated open space and mitigation areas in zones 2, 3, and 5. OCWR is proposing to operate the new Zone 4 landfill concurrently with the Zone 1 landfill to meet the waste disposal needs of Orange County. The San Diego Water Board is a responsible agency under CEQA and has reviewed and considered the project's environmental effects as described in the SSIER and FEIR.
