Document Description
The Project involves the extension of grading activities and construction of an associated drainage structure along the western edge of the landfill property, the extension of a four-lane road that will connect the cities of San Juan Capistrano to the north of San Clemente to the south by passing in between the landfill's Zone 1 and Zone 4, and the stabilization of a landslide in the southern central area of the landfill property. The Project will permanently remove approximately four acres of Thread-leaved brodiaea (Brodiaea filifolia) habitat. The Project is expected to result in incidental take of Thread-leaved brodiaea (Covered Species), which is designated as an endangered species under the California Endangered Species Act. The ITP referenced above, as issued by DFG, authorizes incidental take of Covered Species subject to various terms and conditions including the requirement that all authorized impacts are fully mitigated.
