The California State Parks, Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division (OHMVR) is updating the Carnegie State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA) General Plan to include an expansion of the existing off-highway vehicle (OHV) park facility. Carnegie SVRA is a 1,540 -acre unit of the California State Park System located between Livermore and Tracy in eastern Alameda County and Western San Joaquin County that provides OHV recreational opportunities of the general public. The expansion project includes: The 2,980-acre Alameda/Tesla property, located adjacent to the existing Carnegie SVRA; and several other small properties recently purchased or proposed for purchase along Tesla Road.
