Document Description
The County of Sacramento and the Sacramento County Water Agency have applied to appropriate 71,000 acre-feet of water per year by permit. The proposed project involves a 185 million gallon per day-capacity (mgd) intake facility and pumping plant located on the Sacramento River near Freeport, use of the City of Sacramento's existing diversion facility near Jibboom Street and pipelines carrying the water from the intake facilities to the Zone 40 Surface Water Treatment Plant and service area. The City of Sacramento prepared a Fish Screen Replacement Project Negative Declaration for the Jibboom Street diversion. The Freeport Regional Water Project EIR and Supplemental Mitigated Negative Declaration were prepared for the other project elements.
