Document Description
Lodi Gas Storage proposes to rework one Water Disposal well using a service rig. Work would involve hydrostatically controlling the well, pulling the tubing, and performing a casing inspection. The tubing and wellhead will be re-installed, and an annular pressure test will be performed. The rework of the will ensure compliance with revised regulations (14 CCR § 1726 et seq.) to enhance the safety of underground gas storage (UGS) projects. The California Geologic Energy Management Division (CalGEM) relies on the Lead Agency’s document, as it pertains to the proposed activity. This permit is for an oil or gas activity within the scope of the analysis set forth in the Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR), adopted August 16, 2000, prepared by the California Public Utilities Commission (SCH # 1999022065). CalGEM considered the 2000 FEIR and the analysis therein, and issues this permit in its capacity as a Responsible Agency with expertise in the activities authorized by this permit.
