Document Description
MID provides local electrical service to an approx 560 sq. mi. area in San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Tuolumne counties, including a 160 sq mi traditional service area where MID is required to provide service. MID prepared a program EIR in 2000, updated in 2006, that addressed the potential effects and mitigation measures available for characteristic MID activities such as construction of transmission lines, distribution lines and substations, in an expanded service area. This SPEIR addresses additional changes to MID electrical system improvement activities, including those within MID's traditional service area that were previously excluded from the PEIR.
