Document Description
The project will involve the provision of electric service by MID to customers within the Program area. Program activities may include the construction of new transmission lines, substations, distribution lines and other facilities needed to meet customer demands for MID electrical service which MID can meet cost effectively. The amount of expansion activity will depend on market demands and may include up to a total of 1,000 miles of new line construction over the five year Program period, between 2000 and 2005. The Program area includes approximately 5,500 sq. miles encompassing the majority of Stanislaus, San Joaquin, and Merced counties, and portions of Alameda, Contra Costa, Calaveras, Tuolumne and Mariposa counties.
