Approximately 15 miles east of the City of King City on Lewis Creek Road, approximately three miles from its intersection with Highway 25. The bridge spans Lewis Creek, which serves as the boundry between Monterey County and San Benito County:therefore, a portion of the bridge is located in both counties.

The Governot of the State of California and dthe President of teh United States declared a state of emergency for all of Monterey County from late 1996 through the spring of 1997. Monterey county Bridge No. 420 was washed out during this time period.
