Document Description
The Humboldt Waste Management Authority is proposing to construct and operate a solid waste transfer station and recycling center in or near the City of Eureka, California, and to transport wastes to an exisiting landfill (either the Potrero Hills Landfill in Solano County, California, or the Dry Creek Landfill near Medford, Oregon). The proposed facility will accept municipal solid waste from public self-haulers commercial, and franchise haulers. The project will enable the Authority to gain public ownership and control over the waste system to ensure regulatory compliance. Thus, the Authority will be able to provide a healthy, safe, and economical system of waste transport and disposal for Humboldt County.
