Document Description
The proposed project is located in Belmont Creek along Highway 101 at KP 16.2 in the County of San Mateo. Belmont Creek is tidally influenced in this reach and could support adult steelhead living in a marine environment. The work will consist of extending the existing double box culvert by 25 feet on the upstream (west) side. Culvert wing walls will be constructed perpendicular to Belmont Creek on each side of the extension and will be approximately 13 feet long. Construction will require dewatering the construction area with the placement of coffer dams above and below the work area. The sediment in the construction area will be removed, piles driven for the culvert extension, placement of a concrete seal, construction of the extension and wing walls, and removal of the coffer dams and restoration of the site. CDFG is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2002-0309 pursuant to Section 1601 of the Fish and Game Code to the project operator, Mr. Abolfazi Emadzadeh.
