The project would expand property boundaries and the Public Facilities (PF) land use designation at the 40-acre site leased from LADWP in Mono Basin to allow installation and maintenance of environmental monitoring devices and drainage facilities, to provide borrow resources to meet cover needs for the landfill's lifespan, and to permit a variety of landfill activities on site to meet the needs of waste disposal requirements through the year 2028.
