Document Description
CDFG is executing a SAA pursuant to Section 1601 of the Fish and Game Code with the project applicant, the Department of Transportation District 6. Caltrans proposes to construct a new nine mile section of State Route 58 on a new alignment. The new highway section will include a bridge at Cache Creek. The SAA establishes conditions to protect fish and wildlife resources and to restore habitat values that will be impacted during construction activities. Prior to commencing ground disturbing activities at the site, the Department will also issue to Caltrans a California Endangered Species Act Section 2081 Incidental Take Permit. Upon approval of the Incidental Take Permit, a second Notice of Determination will be submitted.
