Document Description
CDFG is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1601 (SAA # 5-140-99) of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Los Angeles Department of Public Works. The applicant proposes to alter the streambed by excavating approximately 31,000 cubic yards of material from the northern hillside of the debris basin. Expanding the sediment retention capacity of the basin from 38,000 to 44,000 cubic yards, thereby increasing the level of flood protection for the downstream improvements. The project is located in the unincorporated Altadena Area in Los Angeles County.
