Document Description
The Egeria densa Control Program (EDCP) would aim to control the growth and spread of the non-indigenous aquatic weed Egeria densa in the Sacramento/San Joaquin Delta and its tributaries. The EDCP will use a combination of chemical and mechanical methods (the aquatic herbicides Reward and Sonar and mechanical harvesting) to control Egeria densa in these waterways. Also included in this Draft EIR is a two-year research project on the environmental consequences of using copper as a control agent. Pre and post treatment monitoring will accompany the EDCP and the research trial.
