Document Description
The City of Santa Clara requested a Streambed Alteration Agreement to construct a 2 mile segment of a bicycle and pedestrian path along the west bank of San Tomas Aquino Creek. Construction activities will require the removal of approximately 1,350 feet of existing concrete lining on the bank; the construction of two underpasses consisting of 1 to 12 foot high retaining walls with paths; and temporary water diversion in the creek during the construction of the Caltrain/Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board railroad bridge underpass. The project is located along the west side of the San Tomas Aquino Creek between the Scott Street Bridge and the Monroe Street Bridge in the City of Santa Clara, in Santa Clara County. The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2008-0071-3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Project Applicant, Tom Supan/City of Santa Clara.
