Document Description
The project is a new elementary school. The project includes construction of the following: a new elementary school designied to accommodate kindergarten through sixth grade, for an initial enrollment of 600 students with the capability to accommodate 720 students. The design will comply with the Americans with Disability Act, providing accommodations to students with disabilities. The buildings at the project site will total approximately 55,000 square feet, with outdoor playground and sports fields for softball, soccer and additional physical education programs. The buildings will consist of "standard" elementary school classrooms, a library, an administration building and a multi-purpose building. The objective of the project is to relieve some to the growing pains of the additional schools within the MHUSD boundaries, which are currently overcrowded.
