Document Description
The Proposed project is an update to the existing 1999 Laguna Niguel Gateway Specific Plan, and includes a General Plan Amendment (GPA 11-01) and a Zone Change (ZC 11-01) to update the City's zoning map. The proposed Specific Plan provides a road map of land use and development, building and site design, transportation, infrastructure, and streetscape strategies to facilitate investment and revitalization in the area, including pedestrian and transit oriented development to capitalize on the enhanced services planned for the Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo Metrolink station. The proposed Specific Plan would accommodate up to 2,994 residential dwelling units, 2,259,931 sf of nonresidential uses, and 350 hotel rooms.
