The California State Water Resources Control Board proposes to adopt a General Order for Heneral Waste Discharge Requirements for the discharge of biosolids to land for use in agriculture, silviculture, horticulture, and land reclamation activitiew in California. Biosolids are defined as sewage sludge that has been treated tested and shown to be capable of being beneficially used as a soil amendment for agriculture, silviculture, horticulture, and land reclamation activitiesas specified under federal regulation.
