Document Description
The General Plan is a comprehensive update to General Plan adopted by City of Portola in 1982, and the Housing Element, adopted in 1992. In 1997, the City Council recognized the need for a new plan to anticipate the potential for development in the city and surrounding area. The Council reestablished the Planning Commission and charged it with preparing an update to the General Plan. A consultant team was selected in mid-1998 and commenced preparation of the General Plan with the Planning Commission which served as the advisory committee for development of the plan concepts and principles.
